On Shakespeare's 440th birthday, April 23, 2004, and on all his birthdays since, the Rossmoor Shakespeare Society celebrated with potluck picnics plus poetry, music, fun and games.

AND MANY, MANY MORE... - in 2006 alone we saw twelve plays, in 2007 'only' ten plays - but we showed a large number of Shakespeare-related movies on the big screen at our community theater.

At our November 2004 meeting we were proud to host - with a potluck party - three members of Woman's Will, an all-female Shakespeare company. In 2005 they brought their production of Richard III to Rossmoor, and in July of 2006 they performed Twelfth Night at Rossmoor. On July 20, 2007 they brought their production of Romeo and Juliet to our community. In October of 2008 they performed Macbeth in Rossmoor.
2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 - every year Woman's Will comes to perform at Rossmoor.
In addition, the Subterranean Shakespeare Company of Berkely has performed in Rossmoor four times, and the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival once.
